Customer Service Representative


Location: St. Joseph, Gifford, Potomac, Thomasboro. You may float between branches when needed.
Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturdays when needed.
Part Time Hours: No more than 30 hours per week. Saturdays 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM when needed.

Job Description:

  • Provide effective and professional customer service when answering customer questions, issue resolution, and everyday transactions.
  • Answering and routing phone calls properly.
  • Balancing a cash drawer and vault on a daily basis.
  • Filling, balancing, and auditing ATM’s.
  • Having the ability to make good judgment on the validity of a transaction, keeping the Bank and customers best interest in mind.
  • Discuss, prepare, and process documents related to the Bank’s electronic banking services.
  • Understanding and promoting the Bank’s products and services when the opportunity arises.
  • Opening and processing new account transaction, such as: assigning account numbers, preparing all documents, obtaining necessary signatures, processing transactions, and more.
  • Travel is required in the event of meetings, additional help at another branch, trainings, etc.
  • Adheres to privacy requirements and maintains the confidentiality of customer information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a financial institution operations, sales or customer service background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
  • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; basic understanding of mainframe computer system/network functionality; and word processing, spreadsheet and account opening software programs.
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • Basic math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; total currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
  • Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
